At the beginning of this new academic year, you may remember we announced the return of our recognition board competition. We’ve had lots of great photographs shared with us, and we’re pleased to see our Pivotal ideas in so many classrooms up and down the country and beyond.
Congratulations to Attic PRU in North Norfolk for their winning entry! We love the idea of an ‘Appreciation Station’; where recognition, appreciation and support are shared amongst staff and learners. A goody bag of Pivotal presents is on its way to you!
So, what are recognition boards?
Promote a positive atmosphere and positive learning in your classroom. A recognition board is one of the easiest ways to focus on promoting those who have gone over and above, and helps to remove the fame by setting expectations or goals for the whole class to achieve, such as listening carefully or respecting others. Reward those learners when they have done something right.
